General English

Our General English courses are designed to improve all areas of your English, with a focus on communication. As well as speaking and listening, our courses are aimed at increasing your vocabulary, enhancing your grammar, while improving your reading and writing skills.

We use up-to-date course books and communicative teaching methods. Our syllabus and methods are regularly revised by our Directors of Studies, to enable lessons to be as beneficial as possible, and enabling you to learn as effectively as possible.

This is a course for students who want to improve their English to use in a variety of situations, but would prefer not to take an intensive course. The course focuses on developing your communication skills, together with reading and listening, with a focus on the grammar and vocabulary you need to communicate effectively in English. Fortnightly testing is carried out so that your progress can be checked and monitored, which helps us to ensure that you’re at the right level and to highlight which parts of your English need extra help. This course is based on a coursebook which is included in your enrolment fee.

This is a course for students who want to focus particularly on their spoken and written communication skills in English. It combines our 15 hour course with an extra 5 hours of skills input. This is a semi-intensive course which is designed to boost your confidence and fluency in English, by focusing on the English that you need outside of the classroom, with electives such as British Culture, Pronunciation, English for Work and English Literature.

This is a course for students on a mission, students who want maximum improvement in their English in a minimum amount of time. This is a 30 hour per week course which encompasses every aspect of English from grammar to pronunciation, with listening, writing, reading and everything else in between. The course is split between morning and afternoon and is open to all levels from elementary to advanced. You can also combine exam preparation in the morning with General English in the afternoon.

This inexpensive course is for students with busy lives who would like to study a little English every day but do not have time to do one of the more intensive courses, due to work or other commitments. This value afternoon course is designed for students who would like to study every day but do not have the time to do one of our more intensive courses, due to work or other commitments. This course is based on a text book, which is included in your enrolment fee. Please note, this course is not eligible for students who wish to apply for a Tier 4 General Student Visa.
